The AI’s verdict (spoiler)
Hitmonchan by DQ. Hitmonchan's blur of jabs pesters the taller Yoshi all through round one. Flustered, Yoshi flutter-jumps and ground-pounds, which is a stomp and therefore a foul. The referee disqualifies him mid-flutter, and Hitmonchan wins by DQ without breaking a sweat.
Fair fight? Legalise the ground pound, so Yoshi's signature move stops costing him the fight and his 20 cm height and 10 kg weight advantage finally count for something.
